More than 11 years have passed since the outbreak of the unrest and war in Syria. Previously I covered the perspective of a German muhajir (‘migrant’- i.e. foreign fighter) in northwest Syria. In this post I feature an interview with ‘Abu Hudhaifa al-Kyrgyzi,’ a Kyrgyz muhajir in the same region. The interview, conducted on 23 March 2022, is slightly edited and condensed for clarity.
